Peacefully with family by her side at the Brockville General Hospital Charles Street Site on Saturday March 20, 2010. Marie (Slack) Countryman of Brockville aged 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Ronald (Gus) Countryman. Loving mother of Robert Countryman (Edna), Ronnie Countryman and Donna Countryman all of Brockville, Cherished grandmother of Rose Countryman, Amber Countryman, Kellie Lloyd and Jordan Countryman. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren, a brother Charles Slack (Norma) of Elgin and sisters Irene Warren of Brockville and Bev Oliver (Dennis) of Bobcaygeon and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Oscar and Hazel (Blackman) Slack, brothers Lawrence, Arnold and Morris Slack, a sister Marguerite Mallen and a sister-in-law Elsie Countryman. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl St. East, Brockville on Thursday March 25, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
