With her loving husband by her side, Marcia Ezilda Burns (nee Evernden), in her 74th year passed away on Thursday January 21, 2010. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Burns for 54 years. Loving mother to Bobby Burns (Suzanne) and Danny Burns (Judy). She will be dearly missed by grandchildren Ryan, Daniel, Nicole and Cameron. Survived by her brother Harry Evernden (Margaret) and brother in law Peter Jacobs (Joelle). Predeceased by brother in law Keith Burns ( Yvonne). Marcia will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed by lifelong friend Beverly Patterson. The Burns family would like to thank the nursing staff at Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site, Palliative Care for their compassionate care of Marcia. A very special thank you to Gabrielle MacDonald for her care and support of Bob and Marcia through the years and particularly during these trying times. . A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Saturday January 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. In memoriams to the Brockville General Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
