On Friday, July 3rd 2015, while surrounded by family at the Forest Hill Nursing Home in Kanata, Janet White (nee Freeman) made her last and final journey into eternity. Predeceased by her husband Clifford White, and her parents, Willard and Margaret Freeman. Dear mother of Kelly, of Kinburn, Kim (Terri) of Kanata, Kevin (Mary Jane Larose) of Bourget, and Kirby of Ottawa. Grandmother to Kristin (Ryan), Katie, Doug, Ben (Karine), Nick (Elena), Jennifer and Jessica; Great Grandmother to Adrian, Avery, Jordan and Gabrielle. Janet was a pioneering traveler, with the betterment and wellbeing of her family as the ultimate goal and destination. Whether it was to teachers college in Truro NS, or to Lachute Quebec to start a family, then a family move to Ottawa in 1970. She continued the travelling theme with a daily commute from Ottawa to Chelsea Que, where she taught for many years as a Kindergarten Specialist. Upon retirement, Janet and Cliff moved to the Prescott area to enjoy the sights of the St Lawrence River during their golden years. Together they enjoyed antiquing, multiple hobbies and welcoming family and friends. During this time, Janet started in business and joined many community groups. She always enjoyed meeting new people and exposure to new challenges. Janet's passing was peaceful and serene. Reuniting at last, with her beloved husband and lifelong partner Clifford, who's been waiting patiently for her arrival. Together again forever. Janet's family extends its heartfelt thanks to the extended care team at Forest Hill Nursing Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
