Beloved wife of the late Edward Francis (Frank) Carr. Dear mother of Nancy Carr, Tom Carr (Darlene) and Ted Carr, cherished friend of Katharine Harrison all of Brockville. Loving grandmother of Tom Carr, Todd and Mark Howard, and great grandmother of Baylee, Reese, Kati and Chelsea. Alta is survived by her Brother Gordon Porter (Edna) of RR# 4 Brockville and a sister Louise Burnside (Bob) of Prescott as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Arnold and Mary Jane (McRae) Porter, sisters Winnie, Gwen and Ruby. A graveside service for Alta will be held at Oakland Cemetery on Saturday September 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. In memory of Alta, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
