Entered into rest at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, Kingston, Ontario. Gerald George Carey of Lansdowne, Ontario, (former head caretaker for the North York Board of Education), beloved husband of Cleo (Froats) Carey, dear father of Theresa Koenig and Mark Carey and stepfather of Laurie Bradley and Shawn Titkai (Stephen). Predeceased by his children Victoria Carey, Timothy Carey, and Paula Parkinson and his sister Joyce Curry. Loving grandfather of Andy and Melanie Koenig and Jessica Graham (Tony), Amanda Bradley, Nicole and Erin Titkai. Great grandfather of Sarah, Valerie, Elias, Yuri and Aria and great, great grandfather of Destiny and Audrey. Gerald is also survived by several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Ross Froats (Linda) and will be sadly missed by good friends Linda Slusarchuk and Art and Maureen Thompson. Cremation took place March 4th. In memory of Gerald, donations to the St. Lawrence District Medical Centre Building Fund would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
