Amy left us for a better place on February 12, 2017, her daughter's birthday. Amy Ruth Johnston was the first born of Leonard Driver and Ruth Ada Fowler in Kingsbury Quebec on October 2 1927. Amy and Ray J moved to Brockville from Kingston while he was a foreman for Bell. After being a stay at home mom, Amy got a job at Zellers in the credit Dept. and made many friends. Amy used her banking experience and got her real estate licence and was for 19 years a highly respected real estate agent. Her style and honesty won her a great many awards. Amy has had a few losses in her life and was predeceased by her son Michael in 1979 and her beloved Ray J in 2000. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Helen Driver Brown. Amy's recent loss was her beautiful daughter Sue in 2016 at the age of 59. Amy is survived by her daughter Jane and husband Ed VanderBaaren, and her son in law Joe Catlin, and her grandsons and their families Matt and Stephanie, Nathan and Julie, and Frank and Tammy, and her great granddaughter Kayla and great-grandsons Riley, Avery, Wesley and Reed. She is also survived by her brothers Galen and Heather Driver of Oakville and Hilton and Carole Driver of Sherbrook Quebec and all the nieces and nephews and their families will remember Aunt Amy. Amy's second family was Sherwood Park Manor where she has been for the past 15 years following a stroke in 2002… and there are so many kind and wonderful people that looked after Amy it is hard to say who was the most special to her. There was a line up at the door to say goodbye and tell her how much she was loved. A service will be held at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville at 2 p .m. in the chapel on Friday February 17, 2017 with a reception following afterwards.
