Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital Garden Street Site on Monday February 13, 2017. Beatrice Ruth (Tanney) Shearer of Brockville aged 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Edward Shearer, dear mother of Tom Shearer (Densie) of Ottawa and Geri Byrnes (Gary) of Brockville . Beatrice will be sadly missed by her 7 grandchildren, her great grandchildren and her great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Helen Shearer of Campbellford and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Garnet and Margaret (Dawson) Tanney, brothers Hugh Tanney, Bob Tanney and his wife Lila, her sister Jean Barnhardt and her husband Bill, her brother-in-law Edwin Shearer. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Thursday from 7-9 p.m., Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday February 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
