Entered into rest with family by her side, at the Brockville General Hospital Garden Street Site on Saturday March 11, 2017. Martha Louise (Burkholder) Hickey of Brockville aged 72 years. Beloved wife of Patrick 'Joe' Hickey, dear mother of Tricia Hickey (Kevin Long), Marcia Hickey (Andrew Froats) and Joanne Hickey (Michael Hurst). Cherished grandmother of Matthew and Adryan Long, Brynn and Nolan Froats and Josslyn Hurst. Martha is survived by her siblings Albert Burkholder (Velma), Bonita Laurienzo (John), Sandra McMullan (Brian), Deborah Dobbie, Stephanie Jenkinson and Jana Curtis (Borden) her nieces and nephews Mark Burkholder (Cindy), Ivalo Wharton (Paul), Ruth Burkholder, Aaron and Ryan Curtis as well as other nieces and nephews. Martha is predeceased by her parents Crawford and Ada (Kenney) Burkholder, a brother Raymond Parkin and a nephew Paul Burkholder. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday March 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. In memory of Martha, donations to Canadian Cancer Society, the Leeds & Grenville OSPCA or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
