Passed away peacefully at his home on Charleston Lake on Saturday May 27th, 2017. Robert Forten aged 79 years. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Bonsteel) Forten. Loving father of Donna Hayes (Greg), Marilyn White (Steve) all of Mallorytown and Mike Forten (Linda Bailey) of Johnstown. Cherished grandfather of Jessica and Jared Avery (Leigh Ann) and Corey White (Julie); and great grandfather of Caleb. Also missed be his good friend Annette Bowen. Dear brother of Dorothy Mallory, Rita Kittle, Bill Forten and the late Archie Forten, Elsie Nesbitt and Helen Asselin. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Dear son of the late Wilfred and Gertrude (Maughan) Forten. At the family's request a Private Celebration of Robert's Life will be held. In memory of Robert, donations to the Brockville District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
