My deepest condolences to Ruth's family and loved ones. My father, Jack Sisson, was in Ruth's Queen's Phys.Ed.'53 class. We thought you might enjoy this old photo. Ruth is front row, second from the left (my dad is back row, third from the right). I see that her wonderful smile didn't change a bit!
Sincerely,
Anne (Sisson) Blaser

I remember Miss Bracken as a no nonsense Gym coach. ( I was a student at TISS in 1964- 1968 ) She had presence and so much courage. So unlike many of her - or this day.
I am sorry for your loss.

Between the years 1948 and 1950, my mother, Jean White Massey and Miss Bracken were counsellors at Grippen Lake Camp. Many years later, I would be a student at GSS where Miss Bracken taught Phys. Ed. and I was very fortunate to have her for a teacher; she quickly became one of my favourites. Although I have not seen Miss Bracken in many years, I often thought of her with great fondness. I have many good memories of her as both teacher and friend. My sincerest condolences to the Bracken family.

Our condolences to the Bracken family. John and I have known Ruth since she started teaching phys. ed. at Gananoque Secondary School in the late 60's, and developed a close friendship. Ruth lived with us at Landon Bay while her apartment was being refurbished after the fire on Pine St. We have so many happy memories of our times together.
Margery MacGregor and I took Ruth out for a two hour "tour" along the St. Lawrence on June 30...we had a wonderful time and Ruth was in great spirits, pointing out various points of interest as we progressed along the river. We did not think that she would be gone in less than two weeks. We shall miss her.
