To Shirley's family:
I am sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I had the privilege of being knowing Shirley (and her husband Gord) with her residency at Maple View Lodge. Gord was a daily visitor until his health prevented him from coming any more. They sat quietly and Shirley had the biggest smile when Gord was present. You could see the connection they had, even with Shirley's failing memory. She would always sit near the nursing station and watch him walk away after their visit and before he turned the corner, he would turn and they would blow each other a kiss. It was touching to see. Take comfort in knowing that the MacDonald family is together once again. Bless you all.
