Ellie you will always be in my heart and remembered with love. While life was both joyful and bittersweet, I will always rejoice in the memories of fine conversations in your kitchen with the aroma of home baking stalking my resolve, your all-encompassing hug, and your passion for children and everything educational....My first memory of you was our meeting at the time of your first visit to Gananoque to become more acquainted with my Uncle George. I was in grade 13. My Uncle George had shyly asked me to chaperone you and him at his house during your extended visit to town. As he had put it,"If you don't chaperone, Ellie won't come". What could I do when my favourite Uncle and ski buddy asked for a favour? Ellie bounced gaily into the kitchen. "This will be so much fun!" I believe it was 3 days of stimulating conversations, accounts of exciting places in the world, why she loved being an education professional, and just enjoying her good humour. Over the years an invitation to visit, to share stimulating conversation was always eagerly accepted. I will miss you dear Aunt Ellie. Rest in Peace. Condolences to Jennifer, Chris and George. May memories of the good times fill your hearts and be a comfort to you.
