Obituary of Marson Farrel Smith

Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Wednesday February 21, 2018. Marson Farrel Smith of Brockville aged 86 years.  Beloved husband of Mary O’Brien, dear father of Pamela Kirkpatrick (Jamie) of Joyceville, Jeff Smith of Athens. Proud Grandpa of Haylie Kirkpatrick, Ryan and Adam Smith. Marson is also survived by Mary’s children Kristi Plaschka (Bill) of Brockville and their children Elise and Andrew, Mary’s son-in-law Tony Cooper and his children Cody and Jacob, a brother George Smith (Jean) of Brockville as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Glenson and Margaret (nee Farrel) Smith, his children’s mother Margaret and Mary’s daughter Erin Cooper.     

Family will receive friends at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East Brockville on Thursday March 1, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Friday March 2, 2018 from 11a.m.until 12:30 p.m. The Celebration of Marson’s Life will be held in the Chapel at 1:00pm. Interment will be at a later date. In memory of Marson, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the United Way or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
