Obituary of Hendrik de Vries

Peacefully entered into rest at the Ottawa General Hospital on Saturday May 12th, 2018. Hendrik deVries of North Augusta aged 71 years.  Beloved husband of Catharina (Eyndhoven) de Vries. Loving father of Hendrik of North Augusta, Richard of Martinsburg, WV, Patrick (Tanya) and Steven of North Augusta, Katrina of Brockville and the late Theresa and David. Cherished poppa to Jonathon, Harley, Devin, Ethan, Jenna, Tyson and Cayden . Dear brother of Johanna Hart (the late Orlin), Jan Minkhorst (the late Gerry), Rita Louwerse (Bill), Betty Visser (Ralph) and the late Gerry, Thomas and Charlie “Jan” de Vries. Also missed by sister-in-law Lucia Nix (Bill), brother-in-law Peter Eyndhoven (Judy) and several nieces and nephews. Son of the late Hendrik and Hendrika (van den Broek) de Vries.

Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday May 16th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.   In memory of Hendrik donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.    Messages of condolence may be sent online at ​www.barclayfuneralhome.com​.
