So sorry to hear about the passing of the lovely Lois .Lois helped me bring children to Sunday school and we worked as a team and I will never forget how much she loved seeing those kids come to church at Arhens United . Lois was special and I have fond memories of visiting her with Jack and bringing the children from Sunday school to her house . Loved seeing her play the spoons in church (we were going to remember her ! ) seeing her on the Main Street with her old fashioned dress on --finding out she adopted a stranger to be the grandmother from an ad in the paper --her hugs and her history keeping I will spend a day sometime going over that at the Museum . She was absolutely special and our community was so lucky to have her in it . Her niece sang at the funeral and was stunning --wow what talent ! A young version of Lois I am sure . I adored Lois and so glad I went to her funeral and she will be missed by me forever . Love to her family what a precious jewel she was . Sincerely Gina Brady
Holding you all in our thoughts and prayers. Tim has been reading Lois's history writings for years. Joe and April have always spoken of their grandmother with affection. She will be missed. Hoping all your fond memories will help to heal your hearts.

Stephen, Doug and families as well as the Schroeder and Stanford families, we were very sorry to hear of Lois's passing. The village of Athens has lost a great lady and a very knowledgeable one on the history of Athens and area. Please accept our sympathies.
I cleaned for Lois and Jack for the last few years. It hardly felt like work when is was a joy to do things for people like them that appreciate you so much. Lois was one of the most kind generous people I have known. She always gave more than she would take. I especially treasured our lunch dates out. I insisted on paying my turn. I told her she was a cheap date. (hardly ate anything) she would smile and cringe when I would take the bill. My heart goes out to the family.
I didn't get to say good-bye so till we meet again. Fly high sweet angel.
