Obituary of John deVries

Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital Garden St. Site on Sunday June 24th, 2018. John deVries, aged 77 years. Beloved husband for 50 years, to Sharon (McDonald) deVries. Loving father of Michelle (Francois) Sylvain and Lisa (Steve) Brennan. Cherished grandfather of Alexandre, Madeleine, Ella and Wesley. Dear brother of Henry (Lee), Heert, Ted (Judy), Renske (Gabriel), Ron (Liz), Gord (Sue) and Ruth (Ray). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, on Friday, June 29th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A celebration of John’s life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity or a charity of your choice.  You may also wish to plant a garden, or a tree in John’s memory.  Messages of condolence may be sent online at ​www.barclayfuneralhome.com​.
