Obituary of Ernest "Bud" Johnson

Peacefully with family by his side on September 11, 2018 at Sherwood Park Manor, Ernest “Bud” Johnson passed away. Cherished father figure (uncle) to Mary Jane (Dave) Somerville. Treasured grandfather (uncle Bud) to Jessica Irish (Steven Amey), Loranna (Kyle) Healy, Emilee Irish ( Josh Deir). Treasured great grandfather to Savannah, Carsen and Brayden.  Beloved brother to Jim Moffatt (Sue). Bud is predeceased by his parents Harry and Edna Johnson, sisters Mary Johnson and Fay Harper. Bud was an avid woodworker and hunter. He was known for his carved decoys, he enjoyed coaching minor hockey for many years. Bud enjoyed trips to the farm with Emilee and Jessica to see the cows. He also took Mary Jane and other kids on the street to McDonald’s then to the back pond weekly. Bud was well thought of at Sherwood Park Manor, he was tasked with keeping the monthly calendar up to date. Bud will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Special thank you for all the compassionate care Bud received over the years.

Family will receive friends at Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East Brockville on Saturday September 22, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  In memory of Bud, donations to Sherwood Park Manor would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
