Obituary of LeRoy Horton

Frederick LeRoy Horton in his 87th year, formerly of Lansdowne, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at his residence at FoxRun By-The-River, Gananoque.  LeRoy was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Wilhelmina (Webster) Horton, by his beloved wife Margaret (2000) and dear friend Parnell (2011); he is survived by his children Sheree Lake (Mark), Sam (Laura), Robert (Nancy), Daniel (Deirdre) Horton.  He is the cherished grandfather of Kimberley (Bryan Mombourquette), Kristen (the late Gerhard Gross), Greg (Becky Johnson), Danielle (Peter Fletcher), Garret, Eric, Benjamin, Carter, and Spencer Horton. “Giant Grandpa” will be missed by his great grandchildren, Ella, Clara, Gerhard, Christian, and Wesley. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 1033 Prince Street, Lansdowne, on Saturday September 22, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service in the Barclay chapel at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Seeley’s Bay Food Bank (formerly known as ROLL Aid Centre/Food Bank) would be greatly appreciated.
