Obituary of Mae Elizabeth Bancroft

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family Mae Bancroft passed away at the age of 87.  Beloved wife of John Bancroft. Loving mother of Sandra Jack (the late Alsie), Gail Bancroft (Steve Bain), Douglas Bancroft (Belinda), Brian Bancroft (Jill). Cherished grandmother of Toni Jack (Kristian), Crystal Jack (Paul), Aaron Jack, Shannon Bain, Matthew Bain, Evan Bancroft (Shona), Eric Bancroft and Zackery Bancroft. Treasured great grandmother of Carmen, Naomi and Quentin.  Dear sister of Violet White (Donald) Mae will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by siblings Arthur Hanna and Iva Capling.. Mae and John were married for 64 years in which they raised 4 wonderful children. Mae was involved with the Rebekah Order for many years and enjoyed signing with the “Grey Nineties”. Her passion was quilting, she made many quilts for her family and friends over the years. She lived in the Prescott area for most of her married life and retired to Brockville. 

Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Chapel on Friday November 2nd, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. In memory of Mae donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Wellington Rebekah Lodge #108 will hold A Memorial Service Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home all sister Lodges are invited to attend.
