Obituary of Isabel Violet Fox

It is with profound sadness that the family of Isabel Fox (nee Hampson) of Brockville, Ontario announce her passing on December 14, 2018 at the Brockville General Hospital Garden St. Site at the age of 88. She was born in Montreal on the 6th of September 1930. Isabel was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Vera Hampson, her beloved husband Ernest “Ernie” Edward Fox, her brother Allan Hampson and beloved daughter Linda Gail Larocque. She leaves to mourn and is lovingly remembered by her children Ernest Fox (Anne), Cheryl Cook (Don), son-in-law Dennis, as well as her sister Florence Cleroux (Roger); grandchildren Dan Cook (Katie), Chris Cook (Natasha); Rebecca Handy (Brent); Carolyne Fox(Doug) and Stephen and Brian Larocque.  Cherished Great Nan to Evan and Grace Hardy, Jett and Knox Cook and Ronin Marshall. As well as many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She was and will always be remembered by her grandchildren as “Nan” or “Gram”.  Isabel’s main love was her home and family, who will miss her love, kindness and wisdom, and her faith in people as witnessed by the many friendships she cultivated in her lifetime. She was a active member of the Trinity Anglican Church, the A.C.W., and the Stay Well Program and is currently a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church. She was Past president of the Brockville Ladies Auxiliary Minor Hockey. Isabel enjoyed watching hockey at the Brockville Arena as well as being a life long fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team and an avid figure skating fan.

At Isabel’s request cremation has taken place with a Private Family interment at Oakland Cemetery. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East at a later date.
