Obituary of Glenna Fenlong

Peacefully entered into rest at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Sunday February 10, 2019, with her family by her side. Glenna Geraldine (Redford) of Athens, age 76 years. Beloved wife of Donald Fenlong. Loving mother of Brian (Angel), Shawn (Felicia) and Chris (Sue). Cherished grandmother of Jared (20) and Colton (16), Madeline (16) and Danielle (13), Carson (19) and Joshua (18).  Dear sister of Pat Brouwer (Henry), Bev Gascoigne (Brian) and Lois Copis (late Peter) and sister-in-law of Carl Fenlong (Rike), Glenna is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Gerald and Kathleen (Ferguson) Redford. Following Graduation Glenna worked in the OR at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital in Brockville and then for 33 years at Maple View Lodge in Athens. After her retirement she provided private duty care for the elderly. Glenna and Donald were married in the Athens United Church in 1966. Glenna loved spending time with all of her family. Her interests included, listening to country music, cooking, reading, crosswords, adult colouring and bird watching- she also had a big love for all kinds of animals, these things were all very special to her.

A Celebration of Glenna’s Life will be held at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville, on Saturday February 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Glen Elbe Cemetery. In memory of Glenna, donations to the Brockville and District SPCA, Maple View Lodge or the Athens United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
