Obituary of Daniel Hammerli

Passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Tuesday July 2nd, 2019. Daniel Hammerli of Maynard aged 83 years was born in Switzerland and immigrated with his family to Canada in 1949. He has resided in Maynard for 63 years with his Beloved wife Marjorie Hammerli (nee Stoddart). Dear father of Deborah, Tim (Mary Shay ), Shelley, (Daniel Oquendo), and Bonnie (Kevin
Dillon). Cherished grandfather to Connar Tague, Cameron and Julia Dillon and Jolie Oquendo. Daniel is also survived by siblings Martin Hammerli, Cathy Moss (Allan), Brother-in-law Jim Metzger and a Sister-in-law Audrey Hammerli, nieces and nephews Michael, Karen and Heidi Hammerli, Charlie and Carolyn Moss and their respected families . Daniel is predeceased by his parents Emil and Margrit (nee Moser) Hammerli, Sister Rosmarie Metzger , Son-in-law Mike Tague, Mother-in-law Olive Casselman. We are so very thankful and grateful for the wonderful care received from Dr. Steven McMurray, Dr. Andrew Everett, Kim and the many, too numerous to mention Bayshore Nurses, PSW’s and PSW’s from Care Partners. Each and every one of you have been a tremendous support, providing excellent care for Daniel allowing him to stay comfortable in his own home.
A Celebration of Daniel’s Life will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2019 at Victoria United Church, Maynard at 11:00 a.m.  Donations in Daniel’s memory to the Leeds & Grenville Alzheimer’s Society or Victoria United Church, Maynard would be greatly appreciated by the family.
