Obituary of Rosemary Jean Kennedy

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Brockville General Hospital. Rosemary is survived by her daughter Laura Lee Byers (Jim), her grandchildren Elizabeth and Gordon, and her mother Jean Kennedy of Brockville; as well as five brothers: John Robert (Sheryl) of Sudbury, Keith of Moose Creek, Jack of Ingleside, Bruce (Debbie) of Brockville and Dwight (Ruby) of Edson, Alberta; and her four sisters Gail Lebel (Michael), Frances and Heather Kennedy and Jennifer MacDougall all of Brockville. Rosemary is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as several aunts and uncles. Predeceased by her husband Colin Phipps and her father Archie Kennedy. Rosemary was a kind, caring and talented woman. She will be lovingly remembered for her dinner parties, love of family and love of gardening. Rosemary enjoyed making beautiful things. She was successful at gardening, cake decorating and stained glass and became an accomplished painter as well. Her paintings will be treasured. Due to current circumstances of Covid-19, a private family graveside service will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville.
