Obituary of Leo Cyril Willie
Peacefully entered into rest at Wellington House on Saturday June 20th, 2020. Leo Cyril Willie of Brockville aged 90 years. Leo was born October 14th, 1929 in Teeswater, ON. Leo has spent time in Lansdowne, Hill Island and Athens. He worked for a number of years at Philips Cables in Brockville, before opening Willie Electronics in which he repaired televisions, radios, microwave ovens, etc. He was an Amway Independent Business owner and worked for various companies in Brockville, Bolton and Kanata. After retirement, he expanded his personal business into computer repair services. Leo was a wise man who cherished knowledge, which was reflected by his many skills and talents. He was generous with his time and knowledge; always willing to lend a helping hand. As a young man he earned his private pilot license and he enjoyed gardening. He applied his skills and talents to personally build 3 homes, his electronics workshop, and various carpentry projects. Beloved husband of Louise Willie (Elliott). Loving father of Jennifer Labelle, Elizabeth Bevan (Stephane) and Andrea Willie. Cherished grandfather of Geoffrey & Matthew Bevan and Kevin & Brian Labelle. Dear brother to Jerome Willie (Sylvia). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Leo is predeceased by his parents Leonard and Mary Willie (Hatchen) and his brothers and sisters George Willie (as an infant), Donald Willie, Raymond Willie, Noreen Best, Dorothy Gardener and John Willie. In compliance with current Health and Public Safety Directives, there will be a Celebration of Leo’s Life to be held at a later date. In memory of Leo, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
