Obituary of Murray Thomas Rule

Peacefully, at the Brockville General Hospital, on November 30, 2020 Murray Thomas Rule, in his 79th year. Beloved partner of Mary Saunders for over 20 years. Survived by daughters Cathy, Nancy and Susan. Brother of Fred Rule and wife Shirley of Tillsonburg and cousin of Ashley Rule of Springfield, Ontario. Son of the late Thomas and Edith (Cadman) Rule. Husband of the late Beverley Rule and brother of the late Hilda Lacasse. Born in Brownsville Ontario December 11, 1941 Murray worked the land for most of his life except for a few years at Livingston Lumber in Tillsonburg. Handy with his hands, Murray loved working with wood, and making anything with a motor purr. The treasurer (and unofficial cook) of the Prescott Curling Club, Murray enjoyed curling in the winter and travelling in his RV throughout Canada in the summer. Along with his beloved Mary, Murray loved going to plays and country music concerts, seeing Elvis impersonators, as well as square dancing. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Brockville General. Per Murray’s wishes, no services will be held. Memorial donations can be made to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation. Burial will occur at the New Delmer Cemetery, Township of South West Oxford, at a later date.
