Singing Horse Foundation/el Caballo Cantante is a nonprofit association created by its president, Angela Grifo Cruz. When Angela arrived in the Dominican Republic, she began to treat horses, underfed, beaten, abused and sometimes even raped. To collect and care for them, you need a structure: The foundation is born. The foundations goals: to provide a safe secure environment for rescue horses on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic; providing salvation and rehabilitation for abandoned, injured and abused horses. Singing Horse Foundation provides, medical, physical and psychological care in the hopes to later find them new loving homes and caretakers. Once they have been treated, they must be restored, by establishing complicity. Angela with a gentle and expert hand works miracles with every horse brought to her and the results are incredible to the point that even some thoroughbreds considered "indomitable" become jerseys and this without a riding crop. HELP WITH FINANCING The foundation is not intended to make a profit, but it needs money to feed the 20+ horses every day, to buy medical equipment, but also to keep the ranch in good working order, pay bills and countless unforeseen expenses while continuing to pay the employees who take care of the project 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition the foundation gives the local children, teenagers and adults with low or no resources to learn choir practice and its discipline as well how to care and ride the horses of the foundation.
