Peacefully at Home after a long battle with cancer with his family by his side on Sunday June 22, 2008. Michel J. F. "Mike" Poirier of Brockville age 55 years. Beloved spouse of Dorothy Latimer. Father of Marc Poirier of Brockville, Tyler Levee (Jess) of Kingston, Cindy Birt (Chris) of British Columbia, Erin Massey (Randy) of Brockville, Danielle Chapuis of Switzerland and David Levee of Kingston. Mike is survived by 7 grandchildren as well as brothers J.C. Poirier, Jack Poirier, Dennis Poirier and his sister Lise Pharand. Also survived by his Step-mother Jean Halliwell. Predeceased by his parents Rolland J.E.S. Poirier and his wife Marie T. Dumais. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville on Thursday June 26th, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 4 p.m. Interment will be at Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date.
