Sorry to hear of Emma passing, she was a great lady and help a lot of people of her journey. I first met Emma and Ron at Sherwood Park Manor where I work and they came to help out with Bingo on a regular basis. Emma was always smiling and happy to see the residents. Later when she live on the river road she was just down from Mike and Mariann and the kids Alex, Charlotte and Clarke. She was so good to our family and I saw her and Dan at church, always helping out where she could.
To the family I know it is not easy to lose your Mom but she went straight up and is waiting for you all to see her again.
Sincerely Bonnie Monteith an family

Rockport became a better place when Dan introduced us to Emma. Such a wonderful person. So full of life. Always willing to help out with special events and to get dressed up and participate in them as well. She had lots of great stories to share and her energy and vitality were an inspiration to us all. Rest peacefully Emma and watch over all who got to know you and enjoy your company. Hugs to the family, Janette and Frank

A wonder woman who loved life and loved people.
I still remember in the 70’s sitting at the kitchen table eating my Rice Krispies listening to CFJR on the radio. I would look forward when Emma called in and the host would say “over to you Emma”. She would then sing Happy Birthday to one of the listeners. It was just one of the many things she did to make people feel special.

What an incredible tribute to Emma … thoroughly deserved. She always had her door open to the Oxford Ave gang, accepting their occasional lapse in judgement and sometimes serving as alibi to exploits when necessary. Her impact on the community made tangible through her volunteerism, and embrace of many philanthropic causes. Emma personified someone who lived her life fully, always seeing the best in other people and giving unconditionally. She was an early-adopter of all the qualities we now know are needed more than ever, through the pandemic. Tom and Kim, we are thinking of you and your family and will hope to raise a glass in Emma’s honour together when possible. Much love … Silla and Jacqueline Piotto

Janice and I express sentiments of condolence to all of you on the life of a grand lady. The obituary certainly described a life of caring and living with service beyond self. Her cheerfulness and the pleasant manner she approached people is a memorable character trait she faithfully demonstrated. And yes, her contributions in assisting our island Breakfast gang was appreciated

What a beautiful testimony for Emma...she touched so many lives in so many places over the years. I have the fondest memories of our many interactions, from my first job with her at the Skyline to fun times at the Legion, volunteering at various local events and seeing her out and about and endlessly active in our community. Emma was easy to love but I think that was because she loved others so well. She enjoyed the fullness of life every day and put all her energy into making people happy and comfortable in her presence. She had the best hugs and a warm smile, a twinkle of mischief in her eye, a heart of gold, boundless energy and a knack for knowing just the right thing to say or do. Godspeed Emma, you were indeed a good and faithful servant. We will miss you sweet angel xxx

Emma and Dan had coffee once a week at Winnibees on King street. A welcoming place. Emma visited with a group of ladies inside and Dan came outside with his hot chocolate with marshmallows and a chocolate chip cookie to visit with another group. A gentle and relaxed way of life in Brockville . This photo is of Emma and Dan at the Salvation Army Bell Ringers Kick off dinner in Nov 2019. My condolences to Dan and to Emma's family.
