My deepest sympathy to the family. Over the years, I had, had a few encounters with John, due to an unruly ex and all I can say is, John was one of the fairest. Luckily I was able to share that with John while on a security patrol during Ribfest a couple of summers ago. That distinguished moustache of his, curled a little more before each big smile he gave, as we shared a few chuckles from back in the day. I know he will be missed. He truly was one of the best.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of John. I am involved with Cycling Without Age in Brockville and had the pleasure of meeting John at his residence this summer. We ended up going for a ride on the bike together and I truly enjoyed this experience and getting to know him. We had a great tour of downtown and the paths and parks and I thoroughly enjoyed my brief time spend with him. What I got out of our time was he was a gentle, kind, and intelligent man who loved his family and community. Saddened to hear of his passing and my condolences to his friends and family.

I was so saddened to hear of Johns passing. He would bring Corrie to her dental appointments and I would get to enjoy his humour while he patiently waited for her. I then got to know him a little better when he came to the Wedgewood. He was such a thoughtful gentleman. I can still hear his voice and he always recognized mine. I always enjoyed his visits when I worked the front desk, he would hang out there and tell me some of his stories. My sincerest condolences to all families.

Our deepest sympathy to all the families.
0ur friendship goes back to the 1965 , when we lived at the river. Your Dad was our hero, Steve at a young age, fell into the river by their home. It was early spring, water icy cold, John heard his call, pulled him out and delivered him to their kitchen floor.. Your Your Mom Bless her heart ,wrapped him in towels to warm him up. We were always thankful. He had many times of helping people with small boat out of trouble in those days.
He was a great man, he will always be remembered.
