Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, on Monday November 8th, 2021, Gwendolyn (Day) Edgley of Mallorytown in her 97th year. Beloved wife to the late Maurice Edgley. Loving mother of Brenda Edgley of Brockville, Kathryn Lycett (Paul) of Mallorytown, Grant Edgley (Norma) and Beth Lambert of Brockville. Grandmother to: Grant’s children Daniel Edgley (Rebecca), Katie Edgley (Willie); to Beth Lambert’s children Tabitha Lambert-Marmon (Ace) and Ashten Lambert; and GG to: to Daniel’s children Kyah, Kalie and Karsyn; to Katie’s child Riley; Tabitha’s children Jocasta and Erebus; Ashten’s children Eva and Raelynn Tanney. Dear daughter to the late Hiram and Lucille (Laming) Day; and sister of Eileen Scott and Velma Massey. Also missed by nieces and nephews. Gwendolyn was an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she was a WWII veteran, a retired nurse from the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital, a 25-year volunteer at BGH and with 4H, a strong supporter of her church women’s groups, the Lyn Ladies’ group, and was very devoted to the First Baptist Church. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street, East, Brockville on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday November 13, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Lyn Cemetery.
