Obituary of June Usher
It is with great sadness we share that June passed away peacefully on Feb 11, 2022.
June was born in Prescott on March 30th, 1932 to Allen and Victoria (Campbell). Predeceased by her husband Harry in 2004. She leaves behind her Daughter Susan (Lee), sons Jeff and Ted (Karen) and her brother Elton Hill (Shirley). She will be fondly missed by her Grandchildren Angie, Vicki, Lori, Kim, Kerri and Jodi. Predeceased by her siblings Bruce Hill, Mary Simpson, Charles Hill, Fay Leeder, Nellie Moore, and Joan Rouse.
Mom had a passion for knitting and shopping. Her yearly Christmas shopping trips to Toronto with Ina Jackson were always a highlight of her year. Christmas was a special time of the year for June. She loved having family and friends around during the holidays and the Boxing Day drop ins at their home in Long Beach were always filled with laughter.
June’s passion for knitting led her to open the Woolly Lamb Shoppe. It was not only a place to buy wool but also a place for her friends to gather and socialize.
Our house was always welcome to our friends and Mom and Dad treated them all like one of their own.
Mom and Dad spent many years at Calabogie on Black Donald Lake. It was their special getaway place.
You will be missed by us all.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Barclay Funeral Home. A private service will be held.
Donations to the Life Enrichment Department at St. Lawrence Lodge will be greatly appreciated by the family.
A Memorial Tree was planted for June
