Keith Joseph McPhail, passed away peacefully at Brockville General Hospital on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the age of 75. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 25 years, Janet Towe McPhail, his brothers Henry, Leonard, Kenny and Gerald. Keith is survived and lovingly remembered by his children Christopher McPhail (Christina Williams) and Jason (Rhobyn James) McPhail, step-children Fred (Jill) Hicks and Dayna (Lyle) Gray, grandchildren Emily and Ethan McPhail, Hayden and Rowan Hicks, and Charles, Alexander and Scarlett Gray. Keith is also survived by his siblings Inez Wheeler, Marleen McMahon and Daniel (Bernice) McPhail as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Keith was born in December 1946, alongside his twin brother, Gerald, in Cornwall, Ontario. They were the youngest of 8 siblings. The McPhail children were raised on a functioning dairy farm in Bonville, Ontario. At the age of 23, Keith started his family in Glen Walter and built his career at Waltec. Life circumstances brought him to Brockville, Ontario, where he met his wife, Janet, and together, they began a new chapter in their lives. Keith continued his career at Black and Decker, where he retired in 2012. In retirement, he found joy in refinishing antique furniture, watching his grandchildren grow up and making his rounds through Brockville, where he made people smile with his humour, quick wit and charm. He was an avid hockey fan (Go Bruins!) and rarely missed a game. He will be remembered, fondly, by his family and friends. Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, Friday February 25, 2022, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated in the Chape on Saturday February 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
