Susanna Grendel (nee Smallegange) of Lyn, Ontario, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus, at Kingston General Hospital on March 4th, 2022. Life partner and best friend for 54 years of Feike Grendel. Precious mother of the late Grace (Edward) Newman, Martin (Kim Cormier) Grendel, Susanne (Richard) Shane, Andrea (Dave) Eyre and Frederick (Amy) Grendel. Special Nana to sixteen grandchildren (and their spouses) and eight great grandchildren, as well as Nana by choice to many other children. Dear sister of Lourina (Grant) Guild, Jannie (Sjoerd, deceased) Grendel, Marie (Barend) DeWit, John (Lori) Smallegange, Corry (Karl) Niedergesaess, Adrianna (Stuart) Leyenaar. Sister-in-law of Renske (John) Bertelink. Predeceased by Wiepke and Fred Jonker, Wietske (Fetze, surviving) Venema, Sjoerd and Marie Smallegange and Ruurd Grendel. Susanna was predeceased by her parents and parents-in-law Susanna and Mattheus Smallegange and Grietje and Pieter Grendel. Friends and family are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, March 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 117 Windsor Drive, Brockville. A celebration service is being held on Thursday, March 10th at 10 am, also at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Brockville, Ontario with interment to follow.
