Donny was a terrific guy always smiling and dedicated to serving our Veterans. I had the pleasure of knowing Donny and serving with him in the Military. His work with the Brockville Legion Branch 96 was tremendous and remembered.
Rest well my friend.

To the Bain Family,
My sincerest condolences on Donny's passing. Being kids from Havelock Street, while Don lived at the "top" of the street and we lived several homes away, we certainly were part of "The Hill" gang. Our paths crossed as children, and again much later as adults. Donny was great to my dad, Hugh Gaffney, who was a long-time legion member. He said Donny was a great person to have around, a hard worker and, always willing to share the load and a smile with a joke or two... I would meet up with Donny yearly on November 11th at the Legion after the ceremony at the Cenotaph and have missed only the last two years with Covid. Donny, rest in peace and may the family find that the wonderful memories you have made will always be there to support and uplift you.

Mr. Bain (aka coach Don).
I’m so sad to hear of his passing :( my deepest condolences to the family. His goal seemed always to be to get people to smile and laugh when he was around. A great ball coach. A fun customer/member of legion branch 96, and a great friend. Always encouraging on the ball field and ready with his first aid kit whenever I got a ball in the face or pulled a muscle. He even helped me out with a school project. He was always the best Santa at 1000 island mall. What a big loss. He was one of a kind for sure :( I’ll miss his sarcasm and inappropriate comments. So long Mr. Bain. Xoxo
