Obituary of Robert Edgley

Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital with family by his side on Thursday August 11, 2022. Robert (Bob) Wilson Edgley of RR# 3 Brockville aged 84 years. Beloved husband for 60 years to Marion (Grier) Edgley. Loving father to Kathy Uniacke (Conrad), James Edgley (Jacqui) and Steven Edgley. Cherished grandfather of Kate, Cass, Talmage (Amanda), Harrison (Sammy), Nicole, Natasha, Aishah (Ryan), Ollie and Brendan. Great Grandpa of Raelynn, Harper, Arielle, Blake and Zoey. Bob is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Howard and Dorothy (Birt) Edgley, and brothers Thomas and Lawrence Edgley. Bob was a long term member of the Odd Fellows Lodge (65+ years) supporting multiple charities. The family wishes to express our gratitude for the care our dad has received in particular Dr.’s Reaume and Corkum and the team at Irving Greenberg Cancer Centre, Dr. Au, RPN Kelly, and Dr. Thomas.

Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville, on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday August 19, 2022 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Rockport Cemetery. In memory of Bob, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or St. James Anglican Church, Maitland would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  IOOF Odd Fellows Lyn Lodge 284 will hold a Memorial Service on Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
