Obituary of Barbara Joan Manary
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday September 28th, 2022, at Wedgewood Retirement Residence in Brockville at age 101. Joan was predeceased by her husband Elmer, sister Esther Berlie and brother Harold Gay. Joan is survived by her beloved daughter Lorraine Ralph (Clifford), Ottawa, granddaughter Jennifer Ralph, Williamsburg, Ont. and great grandson Jack Deighton. She will be fondly remembered by Penny and Stan Reid of Spencerville.
Joan was born in Saskatchewan in 1921, and was part of a heritage farm, homesteaded with her parents. She made her way to Ottawa where both her and Elmer joined the Air Force at the outbreak of WWII. After the war she worked at Automatic Electric (Microtel) in Brockville. Both Joan and Elmer enjoyed travelling.
