Obituary of William Hugh Murray
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday December 14th, 2022. Bill Murray of Brockville aged 89 years. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman, having lived in his family home, the homestead which goes back over 200 years. Beloved husband of Iris (Plunkett) Murray. Loving father of Charles Murray (Betty), Cathy June (Jeff) and Hugh Murray all of Brockville. Cherished Grandpa of Alice Lacroix (Paul), Stephanie Toll (Mike), Joe (Lisa), Scott (Kristen), Nathan and Trevor Murray (Samantha), Dana Cross (Jon) and Derek June; and great grandpa of Ava, Quinn, Bryce, William, Valerie, Alex, Oliver, Oaklynn, Sloane, Emma, Finnigan, Spencer and Ellie. Dear son of the late Hugh and Florence (Read) Murray; and brother of Helen Throop and the late Pat Edwards, Betty Byers. Also missed by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St., E., Brockville, on Monday December 19, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service for Bill will be celebrated in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in the spring at Read’s Cemetery. In memory of Bill, donations to the Lanark, Leeds, Grenville Addictions and Mental Health or the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
