What can I say about the uncle who was at times more like an older brother? He accused me, many times, of making him an uncle all too early in life. He was always there for me starting with the time, as a young child, he saved my pet turtle from certain death and twenty years later was the Master of Ceremonies at my wedding. He loved boats and the water, especially the St. Lawrence River. He was always willing to lend a hand and was very, very good to mom, his sister, especially in her later years. He was the most positive person I have known. He was always keenly interested in how we were all doing and I always learned some family history from him during our lengthy phone conversations. Uncle Don loved his family deeply and never failed to tell us at the end of a phone conversation or email. Uncle Don you will be deeply missed. Love, Ann XO
