I met Don shortly after I moved to Brockville 9 years ago through the photo club. We had many photo adventures together, I always appreciated Don's company, his wealth of local knowledge and his humour. He will be missed.

I remember Don going way back to our public school days and when we worked together at the gas company. I remember he was a bit of an artist back then. I still enjoy the thoughts of when he took me out to teach me sailing. Carol and I express our condolences to Pat and family. Mike and Carol Larocque

What can I say about the uncle who was at times more like an older brother? He accused me, many times, of making him an uncle all too early in life. He was always there for me starting with the time, as a young child, he saved my pet turtle from certain death and twenty years later was the Master of Ceremonies at my wedding. He loved boats and the water, especially the St. Lawrence River. He was always willing to lend a hand and was very, very good to mom, his sister, especially in her later years. He was the most positive person I have known. He was always keenly interested in how we were all doing and I always learned some family history from him during our lengthy phone conversations. Uncle Don loved his family deeply and never failed to tell us at the end of a phone conversation or email. Uncle Don you will be deeply missed. Love, Ann XO

I will miss Uncle Don so much. Even though I didn't live close by, we had so many great phone conversations where we laughed a lot. His positive attitude was one of the many things I admired about him. He was the family historian - I learned a lot from him. He loved his family so very much and would always say he loved us all before our phone conversation would end. I have so many wonderful memories right from when I was a kid - he used to let me drive his boat and I thought that was the coolest thing in the world. That's because it was and he was by far the coolest uncle in the world xoxoxoxoxo
