Obituary of Steven Glenn Ritchie

It is with great sadness and with much love, we announce the passing of Steven Glenn Ritchie, at the age of 63. He left us after a lengthy illness, quietly at the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, April 1st, 2023. Beloved father of Davin Ritchie of Ottawa. Survived by his sister Wendy Ritchie of Brockville. Steven is also survived by his nephew Mark (Heather) Ritchie, and great-nephews Robert and Jordan, and great-niece Alyssa, all of Cobden. He will be missed by his cousins and many friends. Predeceased by his parents Vincent and Muriel Ritchie (Anderson), and his older brother Keith Ritchie.

Our Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful paramedics for all their efforts to get him to the hospital, and the doctors and nurses for all their kindness and support, during the very difficult time at the ICU. Their extraordinary care given to Steven while he was in their care was greatly appreciated by the family.

As per the family’s request, there will be no public visitation or service. A gathering of remembrance will be held at a later date. In memory of Steven, donations to the charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville.
