Sharon deVries

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sharon deVries (née McDonald) Saturday May 13th, 2023, at Kingston General Hospital at the age of 77. Sharon follows her beloved husband John, who passed in 2018. Sharon leaves behind her two daughters, Michelle (Francois) Sylvain and Lisa (Steve) Brennan and her four adored grandchildren Alexandre, Madeleine, Ella and Wesley. Sharon is also survived by her sister Sandy (Ted) Rypma, and her dear sisters and brothers in law Henry (Lee), Heert, Ted (Judy), Renske, Ron (Liz), Gord (Sue) and Ruth. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, as well as many, many friends and former students from her long and cherished teaching career.

 
Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, on Friday, May 19th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A celebration of Sharon's life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at 1 p.m. with a reception following.
