Obituary of Carolina Dixie Mizener

Carolina Dixie Mizener (nee Smith) of Brockville passed on Sunday December 17, 2023. Carolina was born in Montreal but spent the last 31 years of her life in Brockville, where she was an active member of the Community. She enjoyed volunteering at the Brockville General Hospital, Harvest Sharing Food Bank and attending St. John’s United Church for many years.  

Carolina is predeceased by her father Herbert Smith, mother Agnes McFarlane, husband Alden Mizener and sister Betty Rabey. She is survived by son Philip, daughter Ruth (Stefano), granddaughter Mikayla and sister Ada Garnero. Also survived by brother in law Warren and his wife Lorna, missed by nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to acknowledge the superb care that Carolina obtained both at the Royal Brock and St. Lawrence Lodge.

As requested by Carolina, cremation will take place with no Visitation or Service.  In memory of Carolina donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation or the Lanark, Leeds & Grenville Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.  Messages of condolence may be sent online at ​www.barclayfuneralhome.com​.
