Obituary of John Jr. Wilson Doran
John Wilson Doran Jr. passed away at his home on Feb 5, 2024 at the age of 50. He was the proud and loving father of Slater 19, Mackenna 18, and Trent 15. He is survived by his wife Krissy Irene Doran, His parents John and Marigene Doran and a brother Jeffrey(Tanya) and nieces Natalie, Brianna, and Macy Doran. Special aunt Annis Moreau, cousins Spencer Moreau of Brockville and John Briggs and Jamie Briggs of Naples Florida
He was a gifted educator and loved being a teacher. He taught his whole career at South Grenville High school where he left his mark as a true caring individual. He would make learning not only fun but challenging. He would start his classes with the joke or riddle of the day. He made learning fun and was always coming up with new projects to keep his students engaged.
An accomplished and knowledgeable basketball coach he coached at the club level (Brockville Blues} high school level (South Grenville where they won a number of league and provincial championships) and at the university level ( Queens ,St Lawrence University).
He started as a young boy to collect, grade and trade comic books and at the end had a vast and extensive network of clients from all over North America
He loved Star Wars and named his dog Chewbacca as he would refer to her as his co pilot Chewy
Johns journey ended way to soon but he touched the lives of so many, and has left special memories that his children, family, friends, colleagues and students we will cherish for ever. The sadness of his passing can only be replaced with the smiles of his impact in others.

As requested by John Jr. and family, there will be no visitation or service. A Private family gathering will take place at a later date.
