Obituary of Margaret Steele
Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday February 21st, 2024. Margaret (nee Bailey) formerly of Brockville at the age of 78. Loving mother of Delney Pollock (Geoff) of Ingleside. Cherished grandmother of Christopher and Michael Pollock; and step grandmother of Ashley Pollock (Owen Dodson). Dear daughter of the late Reginald and Harriet (Green) Bailey; sister of Kenneth Bailey (Linda) of England and the late Irene Hopwood; and Aunt to Lisa, Robert, Samantha and Kate. Former wife of David Ricketts and the late Richard D. Steele; and former stepmother of Warren and Todd Steele. Maggie will also be missed by many dear friends.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held from the Chapel on Tuesday February 27th, 2024, at 11 a.m. Interment at Oakland Cemetery, Brockville. In memory of Maggie, donations to Brockville District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre would be appreciated by the family.
