It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Shaun at his residence in Brockville on Sunday March 10, 2024. Shaun is survived by his loving parents Arnold and Dorothy, his children Valerie (Jeff), Chris (Philip) and Jack, their mother Connie Hergert, close friend Teri Hansen and his brothers Glen (Michelle) and Greg (Susan). He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Shaun was born in Ottawa on March 31, 1965, attended Nepean High School and the University of Waterloo. After graduating he settled in Toronto with Connie and embarked on a successful career in sales. In later years, Shaun moved to Brockville, studied mental wellness and addiction and found meaningful work as a Rehabilitation Specialist at Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addiction and Mental Health. Shaun's journey covered several roads and along the way, he made many friends and had an impact on everyone he met. Through it all, Shaun was most proud of his three children, Valerie, Chris and Jack.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Shaun's life at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville on Saturday March 30th from 1 to 3 p.m. Formal words will be spoken at 1:30 p.m. followed by light refreshments.
