Obituary of Doris Green

Doris “Ducky” Lillian Green, 87, of Brockville, Ontario, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024, at the Palliative Care Unit of Brockville General Hospital, just shy of her 88th birthday.

A devoted wife to her beloved husband of nearly 67 years, Gordon Green and loving mother to Tina Lanctot (Dale) and Rhea Green-Gallinger (Keil). Known as Nan, cherished by her grandchildren, Jacob (Jamie), Morgan (Tom), Ryley (Alexie), and Karsen, as well as her grand-puppies, Rucky, Fenway & Maisie.

Ducky is survived by her sisters-in-law, Thelma and Marjorie and is predeceased by her nine older siblings: Howard, Keith, Garland, Ford, Donald, Lorne, Vada, Faye, and Lila.

Ducky worked at Brock Telecom and retired after 39 years of service. She was a woman of many trades and quiet strength, always persistent in anything that comes her way. She had a deep love for flowers, dancing, golfing, shopping, and baking delicious treats that her loved ones couldn’t get enough of. Her creativity shone through in various forms of art, including ceramics, pottery, needle and thread artwork, and 3D paper art pictures.

A Private family service will be held at Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St., E., Brockville. In memory of Ducky, donations to Parkinson Canada, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
