Obituary of Barbara Ellen McNamee

(October 16,1946-July 15, 2024)

With sad hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Ellen McNamee of Brockville, Ontario, born in Prescott, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2024 at the age of 77. 

She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Hilda Greer and 3 sisters Margaret Bernier, Joan Greer and Debra Greer.

She is survived by her beloved husband John McNamee of 52 years ; loving sisters Shirley Greer and Patricia Brennan. Barbara was a devoted mother to daughters Laura Julien (Chris) and Aimee McNamee, both of Brockville. She also leaves behind three wonderful grandchildren Philip (Kit), Thomas (Holly) and Ruby.

Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, on Sunday July 21st from 12:00 -3:00 pm and a family interment will follow at a later date.  

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Palliative Care at Brockville General Hospital or The Canadian Cancer Society. The family wants to express gratitude for all those involved in the care and support she received during this trying time.
