He loved the bagpipes and became the pipe major of The City of Brockville Pipe band for many years. He and Dr. Pat loved to travel to many interesting destinations both in Canada and abroad. His 2 favourite places were Los Tules, in Puerto Vallarta, in Mexico where the whole family and some friends joined them over many years, at their Timeshare which they owned from 1981 and the Lake Placid Club Lodges, Lake Placid, in northern New York State, known fondly as “The Placid “by the younger family members. They also enjoyed cruising and taking trips to many very interesting places. Alistair was an avid reader, known to read, and absorb, a book in a single day.
