Obituary of Jean Marc Turcot
It is with great sadness, the family of Jean Marc Gilles Turcot (67) of Brockville Ontario announce that he passed away Sunday August 4, 2024. Jean Marc was born in Montreal, he was the son of the late Robert Turcot and Pierrette St Aubin.
He passed peacefully at the Kingston Health Science Centre (KHSC) surrounded by his family.
Beloved husband of Laura (nee Pidgeon). Loving father to Cara and Daniel (Stephanie). Caring stepfather to Wendy, Valerie (Peter), and Melanie. Cherished grandfather to his grandchildren, Brittney, Marina, Jacob, Bayleigh, Nevaeh, Jason, Gabriel and Mila. Jean Marc is survived by his sister Diane.
Jean Marc was predeceased by Ethel Turcot (McDonald), mother of Cara and Daniel, his brother Danny Turcot, grandchildren Arianna Schop and Addison Schop.
Jean Marc served in the Royal Canadian Navy as an electrician for 35 years and retired as a Chief Petty Officer 1st Class. Jean Marc’s joys in life were travelling, music, cooking, trying new recipes, entertaining and socializing with friends and neighbours.
Thank you for all the excellent care Jean Marc received, from the Brockville Paramedics, the staff at Brockville General Hospital (BGH) Emergency Department, and specifically from the ICU Doctors, Nurses and Staff at (KHSC) for the compassionate and loving care he received.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street, East Brockville, Ontario, on Friday August 9, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to the Kidney Foundation.
