Obituary of Clifton Christopher Robertson
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at BGH on Friday, August 23rd, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Kay Robertson for 58 years. Loving father of Kayla Robertson (Tom) and Mia Harrison (Kevin). Proud grandfather of Ronnie Harrison (Jamie) and Shenda Harrison (Alex). He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Muriel Reoch and many nephews & nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Carl and Vera, brothers Campbell (Pauline), Clair (Violet) and Doug.
Cliff worked construction prior to starting at Dupont Maitland in 1962. He enjoyed a 33 year career in various roles including crane and heavy equipment operator.
He enjoyed fishing on Charleston Lake and collecting antiques with his wife Kay. He travelled all over to watch his grandchildren play sports and participate in school activities. His love for the family dogs made him the favorite as he often snuck treats when he thought no one was looking.
Simple pleasures in life made him happy, sitting on the swing with his wife outside and waving to passing motorists. In his memory, when you get a chance wave or nod to a passerby, it may just make them smile, some have told us it made their day.
If you wish in memory of Cliff, donations can be made to the Mallorytown United Church or the Leeds and Grenville SPCA. Arrangements were entrusted to Barclay Funeral Home and a private service was held at the Maple Ridge Cemetery.
