Obituary of Derek Schaaf
It is with great sadness that the family of Derek Schaaf announce his passing on Saturday October 26, 2024. At the age of 62 in Brockville. Beloved husband of Brenda Schaaf (nee McCabe). Proud and loving father of Emily June Schaaf (Marco&Moose). Derek is survived by his parents Walter and Pearl Schaaf (nee Casselman), his sister Deborah Schaaf, and admired nephew Luke Hodge.
He will be dearly missed by many brother and sister in-laws Ruby (Jim), Bob (Michelle), Cliff (Francine), Dean and Albert. Cherished uncle of Christopher, Cody, Lily, Jackson, Jesse (Korina), Stacey (Robbie), Jolene (Rob), John (Liza), Lianne (Nicolas), Katie (Simon) and Kyle (Kat).
Derek’s warm spirit and generous heart will be remembered by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to Oakland Cemetery on Friday November 1st, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. for a Graveside Service, which will be followed by a reception at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St., E., Brockville, Ontario.
